<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nThe model shows level 3 with double layers of panels on both sides of the wall, however, level 2 only uses double layers on the inner wall and therefore has a slightly lower insulation effect than level 3.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n Level 2 is suitable for those who want to improve sound insulation in a room where a high degree of insulation is more critical. This could be, for example, your child’s gaming room, a fitness room or a bedroom. Using fiberglass in combination with our sound-absorbing clips will normally reduce noise by 30-40 dB, which in many cases will be sufficient to solve the problem. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Ventilation is not included in this level and assumes that the room already has inlet and outlet air installed. You can optionally use a standard damper or mechanical ventilation to the outside wall or open air, but be aware that this may reduce the sound insulation effect. When the damper is open, sound will easily escape, and even when it is closed, some noise may still be transported via these points as they lack specific soundproofing treatment. <\/p>\n\n\n\n In rooms with an acoustic door such as Level 2<\/strong>, the room will be hermetically sealed to maintain optimal sound insulation. This means that no air enters or exits under the door, as it does with ordinary doors. That’s why it’s important to plan for ventilation. Alternatively, ventilate the room regularly, keep the door open at night, or leave the damper open if the room will be used for overnight stays. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Good ventilation is crucial for the comfort and use of a soundproof room – so make sure this is part of your planning!<\/p>\n\n\n\n We would like to point out that the effect of sound insulation depends on several factors, such as<\/p>\n\n\n\n This means that it is not possible to provide an exact reduction in noise before and after measures, even with our most advanced systems. However, our solutions are specified with: <\/p>\n\n\n\n Both values are specified for each type of surface (wall, ceiling, floor) and the sum of them will affect the end result, which is measured according to Norwegian standard 8175. It is worth noting that lower frequencies are more difficult to isolate, and the lower the frequency you want to attenuate, the more extensive measures will be required. <\/p>\n\n\n\n If you’re unsure where the noise problem lies or how your current solution is working, consider a professional measurement. We measure: <\/p>\n\n\n\n The measurements are performed with class 1 reference equipment and the results are presented in a standardized report according to Norwegian standard 8175.<\/p>\n\n\n\n While such measurements provide valuable insights, they can be costly. That’s why we often recommend prioritizing action over measurement, especially if it’s obvious that action needs to be taken. However, in larger projects or where you are unsure whether the noise is airborne or vibration-based, a measurement can still be useful. For example, if you have a lot of vibration noise, it may be a good idea to brace the joists, which is often recommended anyway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n Our soundproofing systems are designed to handle both airborne noise and vibration noise very effectively.
