They are used in home cinemas, studios and other rooms where <strong>low-frequency structural sound and vibrations<\/strong> need to be effectively stopped. <\/p>\n<hr>\n<h3>\u2696\ufe0f ProSilence U-Boats vs. traditional impact sound panels<\/h3>\n<p>Traditional <strong>impact sound panels<\/strong> act as a compressible layer in a floating floor. They can reduce mid- and high-frequency impact sound, but have <strong>limited effect in the bass range<\/strong>, where heavy walking and vibrations are most annoying. <\/p>\n<p>This is because stepped sound panels have relatively <strong>high dynamic stiffness<\/strong>, which means that the system&#8217;s natural resonance often ends up in the <strong>40-100 Hz<\/strong> range.
