DREAMSCREEN PROSILENCE FLOOR JOIST BRACKET

NEW! With DreamScreen’s new Floor Joist Bracket, you can soundproof your floor with virtually no loss of headroom! This heavy-duty bracket is made of 3mm thick steel and heavily dimensioned to withstand heavy loads (>200kg). Used in combination with our ProSilence U-boats (sold separately). Requires joists with standard wooden beams (type 48×198 or similar).

If you also have joists in the ceiling, you can also consider the DREAMSCREEN PROSILENCE CEILING JOIST HANGER, which allows you to soundproof the ceiling almost completely without loss of height.

DREAMSCREEN PROSILENCE FLOOR JOIST BRACKET is used in the floor and attached directly to the joist with the supplied wood screws. By using this system, you only lose around 5mm of headroom, compared with around 48mm if you lay the U-boats directly on the joists. Can also be combined with DREAMSCREEN PROSILENCE CEILING JOIST HANGER if you also have joists in the ceiling.

The sketch shows the structure using DREAMSCREEN CEILING JOIST HANGER in the ceiling in combination with DREAMSCREEN PROSILENCE FLOOR JOIST BRACKET on the floor for effective sound insulation without losing headroom. The system is recommended to be installed in combination with fiber gypsum and GreenGlue for additional sound insulation.
