DreamScreen ProSilence FluxCore U-boat Silica Gel Stud Floater

12,32

Specially developed ProSilence FluxCore U-Boats for Norwegian stud dimensions are now available from DreamScreen! The FluxCore range utilizes a new progressive multi-stage spring principle designed for even better control of low-frequency vibrations and structure-borne sound.
With a width of 49 mm, the system fits both 48×48 mm and 48×36 mm floor studs. It can also be used with 48×23 mm, provided that the floor slabs are sufficiently rigid and the expected load on the floor is taken into account. FluxCore uses specially developed silica gel in several levels of controlled flexibility, where the system works like a progressive spring under load. The result is better low-frequency decoupling combined with high stability – even with heavy loads such as home theater, HiFi systems, grand pianos or studio installations. For particularly heavy point loads, such as baffle walls, subwoofers or heavy furniture, increased density of U-Boats is recommended for optimal load distribution and performance. Price is stated per piece. A discount is given for purchases of 100 pieces or more.

🔇 See how ProSilence FluxCore U-Boats control vibrations!

The video demonstrates how DreamScreen ProSilence FluxCore U-Boats use a progressive spring principle to decouple the floor structure from the rest of the building.

Instead of traditional hard rubber, a multi-stage silica-gel construction is used, which reacts differently depending on load and vibration energy.

The demonstration visualizes how the system absorbs and controls energy through a progressive spring system designed specifically for low-frequency structure-borne sound and vibrations.

🌟 DreamScreen ProSilence FluxCore U-Boat 🌟

FluxCore U-Boats represent the next generation of structural decoupling for floor structures. Instead of a traditional homogeneous rubber product, FluxCore uses a progressive multi-stage spring system designed to control low-frequency energy far more effectively.

The system is designed for home cinemas, HiFi rooms, studios, music rooms and other installations where low-frequency structure-borne sound, vibrations and impact sound need to be minimized.

⚖️ FluxCore vs. traditional stepped soundboards

Traditional impact sound panels act as a compressible layer in a floating floor.
They can reduce mid- and high-frequency noise, but often have limited effect in the bass range, where heavy vibrations and structure-borne sound are most challenging.

The reason is that traditional solutions often have a relatively high dynamic stiffness, which results in an intrinsic resonance in the range 40-100 Hz.
This means that low frequencies can still propagate further in the structure.

FluxCore U-Boats, on the other hand, are developed as a true progressive spring-based decoupling system:

  • Multi-stage construction with different levels of controlled flexibility
  • Soft initial response at low loads
  • Gradually increasing resistance at higher loads
  • Large controlled elastic travel
  • Natural resonance of the system ≈ 10 Hz

The result is significantly better control throughout the critical low-frequency range (20-80 Hz), where traditional solutions normally have limited effect.

FluxCore therefore acts more like a precision engineered damper than a traditional underlay.

This graph illustrates the difference between traditional tread plates and the spring-based approach used in the FluxCore system.

🚀 What makes FluxCore special?

  • Progressive multi-stage spring response designed for low-frequency control 🔇
  • Made of specially developed silica gel with very high vibration damping 🎧
  • Controlled response at both low and high loads ⚙️
  • Developed for standard 48 mm stud frames 🛠️
  • Only approx. 34 mm build height including studs
  • Long service life, high durability and temperature resistance ♻️

⚙️ How does FluxCore work?

FluxCore is installed underneath the studwork and creates a controlled resilient separation between the new floor and the existing structure.

Under normal loads, the system operates in a soft initial spring phase.
At higher loads, additional resistance is gradually activated to maintain stability and control.

This allows the floor to be both:

  • Soft enough for effective low-frequency decoupling
  • Stable enough for heavy loads such as grand pianos, cinema seats and heavy HiFi

The floor construction itself is normally sufficient to activate the FluxCore system’s progressive spring mode.

📌 Advantages

  • Progressive spring-based decoupling 🔇
  • Optimized for low-frequency structure-borne sound
  • More controlled response than traditional rubber solutions
  • Only approx. 34 mm total construction height
  • Fits standard steel and wood studs (48 mm)
  • Suitable for home theater, studio and HiFi room
  • Easy installation without special tools 🧰

The result: A stable and effectively decoupled floor structure that reduces vibration, structure-borne sound and low-frequency energy significantly more effectively than traditional impact sound panels.
