Reference project – Extreme sound insulation in Oslo

📝 Description:
This project has been described by Teknisk Ukeblad as “Norway’s most soundproof home” – a claim we stand behind with pride. The goal has always been uncompromising silence in all rooms, and the result is one of the most complete soundproofing projects we have delivered. The project is being carried out by Hellvik Hus / Ringerikshus AS, while we are responsible for the design and delivery of the sound engineering by siv. ing. Eivind Lygren.
The developer has chosen to use large parts of the ProSilence concept – including sound-absorbing clips, damping compound and acoustic doors – in all zones of the home. In addition, the ventilation system is specially adapted for the best possible noise reduction and is confirmed by measurements to work extremely well.
The construction work has now been completed (15.10.2025) and the measurement report can be read below (English version separately below). As expected, the measurements are very good and give the house the best A-classification by a good margin!

📝 D escription:
In connection with the move to new premises in 2023, we built a dedicated demo room – completely based on our own ProSilence concept. Here, we have used all available components, including a double layer of Green Glue, also on the outer wall towards the rest of the premises, for maximum sound insulation 🔇
As an industrial building, the location presented some challenges – among other things, we had to adapt the construction around large steel girders, which made it difficult to achieve perfect execution. Nevertheless, we are very close to an optimal result. 🎯
The room is built with the previous generation of ProSilence clips and U-boats, and even with this we achieved an impressive measurement of rW = 65 dB, which qualifies for sound class A according to the current standard (requirements: >63 dB).
💡 Today’s generation has even better properties thanks to softer and more efficient decoupling material.
