When Universal Music Norway moved into its new headquarters in central Oslo, two dedicated recording studios were built using the DreamScreen ProSilence™ sound isolation system.
As the world’s largest music company, Universal Music requires professional environments for everything from intimate vocal recordings to high-energy band sessions. At the same time, the surrounding offices must remain comfortable and productive throughout the working day.

Extreme sound isolation in Oslo
A complete residential ProSilence™ project described as one of Norway’s most ambitious sound isolation projects.
This residential reference project was designed with uncompromising silence as the core objective. Large parts of the ProSilence™ concept were used throughout the home, including decoupling components, damping compound, fiber gypsum constructions and high-performance acoustic doors. The ventilation system was also designed with strong focus on noise control.
The project was acoustically designed and supplied by AVshop / DreamScreen ProSilence with civil engineer Eivind Lygren responsible for the sound isolation concept.
Measured result
The completed measurements confirmed very strong performance, achieving the highest sound class with a good margin according to Norwegian field measurement standards.

Top-class demo room in Oslo
A dedicated home cinema and demonstration room built using the previous generation of the ProSilence™ concept.
When AVshop moved into new premises in 2023, a dedicated demonstration room was built using the ProSilence™ concept. The room includes decoupled walls and ceiling, multiple board layers with damping compound and an acoustic door.
As an industrial building, the location presented structural challenges, including large steel beams and existing building constraints. Even with these challenges, the completed room achieved very strong sound isolation and remains an important demonstration environment.
The room was built with the previous generation of ProSilence™ clips and U-boats. Today’s FluxCore™ generation has been developed to provide improved vibration isolation through softer, multi-density decoupling materials.

SINTEF laboratory testing
Independent laboratory testing of the latest ProSilence™ FluxCore™ generation is part of the ongoing product development and documentation program.
The latest FluxCore™ system generation is being prepared for formal laboratory testing with SINTEF in Norway, including acoustic isolation performance and mechanical load verification. The goal is to document the system under controlled laboratory conditions in addition to the strong field results already achieved in real residential installations.
Future updates to the reference page and technical documentation will include measured laboratory performance once the full test program has been completed and approved for publication.
