NEW! You can now buy Fermacell’s fiberboards at AVshop! These boards are extremely suitable for cinema rooms as they both soundproof the equivalent of 2 plasterboards and, unlike plaster, allow you to screw everything from projector mounts to speaker holders with 30 kilos of adhesion per screw attachment directly into the board.

The boards are sold in 600x2400x12.5mm size as they are relatively much heavier than plasterboard, but with a standard plasterboard lift you can easily lift these boards up to the ceiling and handle them easily on their own to the wall.

If you use 2 layers of this board and GreenGlue damping adhesive in between, this corresponds to 4 plaster layers plus extra effect for GreenGlue, which will provide extremely good damping even far down in frequency. A single layer will also provide very good damping, especially if you combine this with decouplers (room-in-room).

Can be delivered directly to your home throughout the country at a discounted rate (contact us) if you buy more than 120 plates (2 pallets), or they can be collected directly from our warehouse in Smalvollveien at Alnabru.

Quick instructions

This panel is supplied without a filler edge, which is often a more efficient method of installation in typical home cinemas where the surface is covered with acoustic panels and/or fabric anyway.

The boards can either be sawn or broken using Fermacell’s rice knife (see accessories).

GreenGlue Sealant is recommended as a sealant for ceilings, floors and corners (see accessories).
