Daloc S30 – 50 dB Sound door in steel

Daloc’s top range of acoustic doors – for extreme sound insulation requirements.

Daloc S30 in the 50 dB version represents the top level in single doors for sound insulation. This is the solution for those who cannot accept that the sound door is the weakest point in the construction.
The door is often used in demanding professional environments, but is also an obvious choice for uncompromising high-end home cinemas.

Important before ordering – read this carefully

🔹 Light opening = width × height

All dimensions stated apply to the light opening, i.e. finished hole dimensions in the wall in which the door (frame + door leaf) is installed.
These are not door leaf dimensions and not outer dimensions of the frame.

🔹 Width selection – important information

For technical reasons, the online store can only show 80-90 cm width in total.

• All heights except 210 cm:
  ➜ Preferred width(80 cm or 90 cm) must be specified in the comments field when ordering.

• 210 cm height:
  ➜ Here the width can be selected directly in the online store.

Failure to specify the width will result in delayed order processing.

🔹 Left or right hinging – this is how it is understood

Hinging is defined as follows:
➡️ When you pull the door towards you, the hinges are either on the left or right side.

This is the correct industry definition, but also a common source of error.

Double sound door (tandem door)

The only thing in our range that attenuates more than S30 50 dB as a single door is a double sound door (tandem door) of the same type. This can be supplied on request.

Important to note:

• The dB scale is logarithmic – 50 + 50 dB is not summed

• Extra power depends on:

  • the distance between the doors

  • the design of the lock

• 30 cm spacing provides better insulation than 10 cm

• Too small distance can cause vacuum effect and heavy door

• Acoustic panels on the inside of the lock further increase insulation

In practice, you can normally expect 60-70 dB of overall attenuation, approaching the level of a fully ProSilence-insulated wall.

Standard included in the delivery

Frame – type 41

• Steel frame

• Color: Black – NCS S9000-N

• Fixed alignment on the hinge side

• Adjustable frame sleeves (12 mm umbraco)

The frame is covered with insulation (not included) and sealed with sealant to achieve correct fire, sound and smoke tightness.

Correct installation is essential to achieve the specified performance.

Recommended fasteners

• Concrete/masonry/wood studs:
  Fischer FFS 7.5 × 72 (with or without 10 × 50 nylon plug)

• Steel studs:
  Würth Zebra Pias 6.3 × 38

These are included in our complete installation kits, which are delivered with the order.
